Title: Entwicklung eines Schulungskonzeptes für Adipositas-Berater:Klassifikation, Ursachen und Folgen von Übergewicht
Language: German
Authors: Brinckmann, Sonja
Issue Date: 5-Nov-2007
Abstract:

The rising prevalence of overweight has become a problem of our society which has to be taken seriously. Besides the risks of each individual this problem has become an increasing burden for the health care system. Today already more than half of the women and scarcely two thirds of the men are overweight up to obese.
The reasons for this can be found on the one hand in the excessive energy and food intake, on the other hand in the decrease of the physical activity during the work and spare time. Due to this results follows an disadvantageous changed relationship of energy intake and energy expenditure which represent the main cause of overweight. In order to minimize this, a special significance is attached to the prevention of overweight.
This diploma thesis shows a training concept for obesity advisors, which is focused on interested laymen. This training is designed to qualify participants for obesity advisors and extend the offer of obesity consultation.
The topics of the training concept are divided into individual learning units and complete with a test at the end of each chapter.
