Title: CSR im Internet - Die Kommunikation von CSR-Themen von Kosmetik und Naturkosmetik herstellenden Unternehmen über ihre Corporate Website
Language: German
Authors: Wolf, Pia
Issue Date: 3-Jan-2014
Abstract:

Consumers chose products and brands not exclusively because of the product quality or image, but they also increasingly consider ethical, environmental and social factors in the context of corporate activity. Therefore the stakeholders claim vehemently for companies to take responsibility in social areas. It became more important for companies to adopt social responsibility and to communicate their environmental and social commitment.
In the context of this bachelor thesis the communication of CSR-content via corporate websites of cosmetics and natural cosmetics manufacturers has been analysed empirically. Objective of this thesis has been to discover whether natural cosmetic manufacturers compared to cosmetic manufacturers communicate more CSR-relevant content via their corporate websites. The result of this thesis shall highlight the potential for marketing and corporate communication.
The empirical study has been carried out quantitatively for respectively four companies within the business segments of cosmetics and natural cosmetics. Only the sum of the mentioned CSR-content on the corporate websites has been taken into account by this investigation on the basis of a created theme catalogues.
The qualitative value of the provided information has not been taken into account in this thesis.
The result of the empirical investigation shows that the analysed cosmetic manufacturers communicate clearly superior in comparison to the analysed nature cosmetic manufactur-ers. Therefore the natural cosmetic manufacturing companies have a clear potential in communication and marketing.
